Adding Athletic Skills To Your Actors
Athletic Run is an Extension to the iClone 8 embedded Motion Director (MD) - Casual Male behavior.
Activate Athletic Run and gain access to two additional powerful run speeds, suitable for swift 3D character navigation around the scene with highly responsive interaction.
How the Athletic Extension Works
- Apply Causal_All_M to your actor as the starting motion
- Apply Athletic Run from the Content Manager > Animation > MD Extension, or tick them on from the MD Behavior Manager as the illustrated steps
- Press F2, XBox Controller LB, or use Triggers panel to switch Casual and Athletic mode
How the Athletic Extension Works

Switch between Casual mode and Athletic mode - press LB for Mode Switch when using Athletic Extension, or press LS for Data Switch if you use Athletic Standalone data.

Change Speed - push LS half way for run speed, and full way for full speed; Shift to Dash, Ctrl to Run.

How We Create Super Realistic Motions
The Motion Director animations piloting 3D characters in iClone 8 are a new evolution in the play-to-create philosophy at Reallusion. Partnering with the talented team at the Creative Media Industries institute at Georgia State University, we were able to collaborate and transform the GSU basketball arena into a massive motion capture volume to capture the data that is now featured in iClone Motion Director. Through a series of walks, jogs, and runs performed utilizing specialized routes and turns we generated the motion sets for the Casual and Athletic Run from these moves powered by AI-driven animation with our interactive AI transition technology.

Athletic Extension is based on embedded Motion Director (MD) behavior - Casual Male; providing access to two additional running speeds.
Special Bonus: 3 Standalone iMD
The 3 bonus iMDs are the Athletic Run styles that can be used individually with other Motion Director data, making them good for both male and female characters.
