GoZ from CC4 to Zbrush scaling issue with imploding mesh. Match Zbrush Model scale option is faulty!
Hi I am here after resending a ticket as I feel my first ticket was not resolved properly, so need a second opinion & better support. The support admin is only telling me to see updates on the hub with no real solution.
PROBLEM: I tried to GoZ my character from CC4 with my character - when it opened in zbrush I found out the current imploded mesh issue
Steps: 1/ I opened a CC4 default character & tried to GoZ it. I selected "Match Zbrush Model scale" check box then confirmed. 2/Zbrush opened deformed/imploded mesh 3/ I trouble shot by opening zbrush "Preference/ Goz/Clear cache files" - then tried to repeat the process but got the same result 3/ I tried my custom character, but this time did not select "Match Zbrush Model scale" & it worked - however that only worked that one time. 4/ Now every time I try a default character or my own characters it happens all the time creating an imploded mesh. 5/ When I export back from zbrush to CC4 & select scale to CC4 check box the mesh appears as a black silhouette only.
This never happened before until the recent updates during CC5 release. I am somewhat reluctant to purchase & upgrade to CC5 from CC4. However I had used the CC5 trial & tried GoZ with my character & the same thing happened as well. Attached are recent tests (CC4 only) showing the issue still is happening.
The reallusion support said I must of scaled something for it to do that issue but I have done no such thing - case in point I used a default character from CC4 doing a straight export as in step 1/. They even tried to give me a work around, but it doesn't really work & causes so much more problems making the process take so long when the "Match Zbrush Model scale" used to work just fine.
Thanks for you time & please resolve whatever is happening with the "Match Zbrush Model scale" as I have tried to find documentation for this issue, which seems to be happening a lot I see.

This issue is related to the Normal setting. We are already working on it. In the meantime, you can temporarily set Normal to None, and it will work properly.
