Unreal LiveLink Take Record Issue: Character Disappears After Recording
Hello, I am a user who has been recording iClone animations in Unreal Engine 5.1 using LiveLink and rendering them for a long time. Recently, I upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.5. I installed all the necessary plugins, moved the RLLiveLink folder to match the version, and also transferred RLPlugin and CC_Shaders to the appropriate versions. Everything was set up according to the timecode. When I connect iClone and Unreal via LiveLink, the character moves perfectly in Unreal. However, after recording, when I play the recorded sequencer, the character suddenly disappears. I have recorded this issue in a video. I would greatly appreciate it if you could explain why this is happening.
Thank you so much for your kind and thorough response.
You really helped me solve the issue, and I genuinely appreciate the time and effort you put into assisting me.
Your support made a big difference—thank you again!

Hi cwalcwal1
Here are two possible ways to resolve your issue:
1.You can delete the character that you don't want to include in the final output.
2.Go to the character's Details Panel, find the Rendering section, and check Actor Hidden In Game or hidden in scene capture.
This way, the character should no longer be visible in the final output.

Hi cwalcwal1
We're a bit unclear about your rendering steps.
Could you please record a short video of your process and attach it in your next message?

The issue was resolved by importing it as an actor in Take Recorder.
Thank you so much.
I don’t know why I was using Live Link until now.
I’ve installed everything you mentioned.
But I have a question.
When rendering in this state, the original actor appears as well.
How can I make it so that it doesn’t show up?
Just setting it to invisible doesn’t seem to solve it.
